What is capacitive sensor?

Capacitive sensor is proximity sensor that can detect various objects, liquids or bulk materials. Capacitance sensor creates electrical field that is effected by the object that appears in it. That is why capacitive sensor can work with out physical contact with the target. Also it can detect the materials throw dielectrics, for example it is possible to detect water threw plastic cup wall and etc.
